WHO AM I (Lili Frost)

Today, on the street
In the metro,
It's a melancholy day
No one speaks
Passing you by
Wondering why

Today, like any day
Rolled out of bed
Talked on the telephone
Went to the doctor, she said
You're OK
Still I wonder
Who am I

Today in the air
On the water
Ships pass you by
Clouds fantasize
Dragging shapes across the sky
Wondering why
Who am I

Clarion crows for the courtsmans brigade
Centuries before on this very stage
Gypsies serenade, passed through DNA
And so it found its way

Bummer. Im involved in the freshmen orientation. I can chose to opt out but..nah.
"Ah'm a good girl, ah am."

And then we need to sing this song titled "THE HEALING TOUCH" wic is a tribute to the Allied Health Professionals.
*Ohhh yeah. Im gonna be in that category ppl. go figure*
But it kinda touched me a little. Well..a little more.
oh k. A lot. Especially if they made a video clip out of it or sthg.
And yes yes yes yes yes...i kept asking. How good a nurse can I be?

Out there in the world today
There are sick and hurting ones out there
How can I help, and there I thought
To learn a skill that I can share
The image of the ones before
In uniforms of brightly white
Inspirng cos of what they do
Is where I feel i want to serve too
The healing touch is what i want to give
A difference is what we can achieve
To carry them, to help them reach
Lives anew and spirits healed
Their smiling faces, what we see
It makes it all worthwhile
The healing touch to give them peace and joy
Discovering their lives and families
Providing strength, we stand by them
Picking them up whenever they fall
Helping them, encouraging
Our patients to carry on
As mentor, friend and counsellor
We give to them our very best
This is what we often feel
To give our all with fervent zeal
For it's when we've seen them grow
To better health, from strength to strength
We know that at the end of it
We've given and received...
